A dialogue about the current state of the international Theatre of the Oppressed Movement, with Radha Ramawarmy of Centre for Community Dialogue and Change (Bangalore India) Tamara Lynne of Living Stages (Portland) and other theatre activists.

Radha, Tamara, and other invited guests will discuss the use of theatre in different contexts, including radical education and movement-building, share experiences of Jana Sanskriti’s Biennial Theatre of the Oppressed Festival in Kolkata, reflect on the challenges and radical possibilities of this work in different settings (including educational institutions, community organizations, and traditional theatre; in rural India and in urban Portland), and identify key questions this work poses to challenge traditional institutions.
